1. Who we are
Maarkrix is an independent studio that operates the website maarkrix.com and the product Maarkrix AI Studio. For any privacy question you can contact us at legal@maarkrix.com.
2. What data we collect
- Account data — name, email and authentication identifier when you sign up (email + password or Google OAuth).
- Workspace content — brands, campaigns, prompts, generated assets and files you create or upload inside AI Studio.
- Billing data — plan, subscription status and billing identifiers. Card details are handled directly by Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Product usage — pages visited, feature usage, credit consumption, error events and performance metrics, used to operate and improve the service.
- Communications — messages you send us and, if you subscribe, your newsletter email.
3. How we use your data
- Provide, secure and improve the Maarkrix website and AI Studio.
- Authenticate you and enforce plan limits and credit balances.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Send transactional emails (account, billing, security) and, only with your consent, product updates.
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.
4. AI generation
When you use AI Studio, prompts and brand context you submit are sent to model providers (currently the Lovable AI Gateway, Google Gemini for image generation, ElevenLabs for voice and Whisper for transcription) solely to produce your output. We do not sell your prompts or generated content, and we do not use your workspace content to train foundation models.
5. Legal basis
We process data under the following bases: performance of a contract (delivering the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (securing and improving the product), consent (marketing emails, optional analytics) and legal obligations (tax, accounting).
6. Sharing
We share data only with the processors required to run the service: our hosting and database provider, Stripe (payments), the AI model providers listed above, our email delivery provider and error/analytics tooling. We do not sell personal data.
7. International transfers
Some processors are located outside your country. When that is the case we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards provided by each vendor.
8. Retention
Account and workspace data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymise personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal reasons (for example invoices, kept for the period required by tax law).
9. Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, portability or restriction of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests, by emailing legal@maarkrix.com. If you are in the EEA or UK you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If we introduce optional analytics cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent first.
11. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our infrastructure provider. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and enable your account's available protections.
12. Children
Maarkrix is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do we update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app.
